Stitched Card

I have tried another new technique - this time stitching !

Thanks to Karen (aka. Flourgirl) on the MSE Forum who kindly sent me the template for the card and whose beautiful stitched cards inspired me to give it a try.

It was very relaxing to do even though it took a lot longer than I thought and then I seemed to be constantly re-tightening the longer stitches but I think this is just me !

I bought some blue paper from a new craft shop near Nottingham that I have discovered. I think it was too thin as it has creased slightly when sticking it down but I am very pleased with my first effort.

I woke up at 5am with the 'Fore!' wording idea - my Mum did not appreciate her phone call at 6.30am to tell her all about it !! I have made this card for one of her good friends who lives in South Africa - Happy Birthday Michael x

Having just uploaded the photo, I have just realised that I have stuck the dot of the 'i' underneath so it looks like an exclamation mark ! Oops, I have just picked it off and will now replace it - some cards seem to never end ...
